Hi, I’m Gabby! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor that has over 10 years of experience in the human services field. My work with a variety of populations across settings has helped me to build skills working with young children, adolescents and adults but I specialize in treating anxiety, depression and other common life issues in the adolescent and adult populations. I’ve worked in and provided individual and group counseling in schools, communities, community agencies, residential homes and treatment centers, a juvenile detention center and an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility. I am trained in play therapy, CBT, mindfulness, substance use treatment, dual diagnosis and other common modalities.
For parents who are hoping to bring their children to counseling, these tips may help prepare your child.
In my work as a therapist, I focus on helping others to improve the quality of their lives and overall functioning by using their natural skills and gifts as well as my own. I believe in meeting someone where they’re at and doing work in that space to promote healing and growth that will eventually lead to thriving. Most of all, I believe in relationship and I understand that a healthy, safe and balanced client-counselor relationship is at the heart of everything.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, yoga and other grounding activities, learning about new things and finding adventure.
I look forward to potentially working with you and/or your family!
