Before your first session, you'll each complete the PREPARE assessment—a confidential questionnaire that tells us about your relationship dynamics, communication style, and areas of strength. Your facilitators use this to personalize all three sessions directly to your needs.

What to Expect

Pre-Program: Each partner completes the PREPARE assessment online (30–45 minutes). Facilitators review your results to prepare personalized sessions.
Session 1: Introductions, review of your PREPARE results, and learning your first set of communication skills.
Session 2: Deeper dives into relationship topics like finances, family, values, and intimacy—with practice conversations.
Session 3: Solidify skills, create an action plan, celebrate progress, and prepare for marriage with confidence.
After Program Completion: You'll have tools, insights, and a clearer roadmap for your marriage. Resources and optional referrals for couples counseling are available if you want additional support later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we both have to attend all three sessions?

Yes, this is a couples program and both partners' participation is important for the experience. If one partner has a conflict, please contact the coordinator to discuss options.

What if we need actual counseling, not just education?

This program is psychoeducational and research-based, but not a substitute for therapy. If either of you feels you'd benefit from couples counseling, our facilitators can provide referrals to experienced therapists in our network.

Can we do this virtually?

Absolutely. We offer both in-person and virtual options. Virtual participants need a stable internet connection and a device with camera and microphone. You'll receive login details prior to each session.

When can we start?

We regularly offer programs throughout the year. Contact us to see our upcoming availability and to register for dates that fit your timeline.

What if we need to cancel?

We offer a full refund if you cancel before the start of the first session. Once the program begins, no refund is issued. Sessions may be rescheduled with your facilitator with a minimum of 24 hours notice.

Is this confidential?

Yes. Your PREPARE assessment responses and anything shared in sessions are kept confidential. The only exception is if there's a safety concern, which we're legally required to report.
