Hi, I’m Britany! I’m a licensed professional counselor specializing in working with children, adolescents, families, and couples. I have worked extensively with children and families across settings including in homes, schools, and the community for the past ten years. I enjoy supporting families in their process of healing through relational repair, and I drive treatment with a focus on strengthening relationships. Additionally, I have training in trauma, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and specialize in post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment difficulties, relationship issues, and grief/bereavement. I also work with couples and have experience in infidelity recovery and the use of EMDR intervention to treat unresolved trauma that impacts the partner relationship. My approach to therapy is flexible and eclectic. I utilize a variety of techniques derived from Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and a variety of family systems approaches including Eco-Systemic Family Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
In my free time, I enjoy writing, scuba diving, baking, and taking trips to the beach. I am a mother of two young sons, and when I’m not counseling clients, I am typically enjoying time with my family outdoors.
