Hi, I’m Sarah! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion to help people find self-understanding and build meaningful connections within their relationships. I specialize in working with young adults and most commonly treat adjustment issues, relational distress, anxiety, depression, and grief & loss. Throughout my training and experience, I have provided counseling in a variety of settings including: a college counseling clinic, drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, and most recently at a full service community school as a School Based Outpatient Therapist.
I value creativity, collaboration, and genuine connection within the counseling relationship. I strive to help my clients learn to value their own wants, needs, and feelings and communicate those needs openly. My favorite part of counseling is getting the opportunity to help people to rebuild a sense of love, safety, and understanding within their most important relationships.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my main therapeutic framework. I am currently in the process of training in Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) which has shown great success in helping teens and their parents repair trust, respect, and connection. Additionally, I am a level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapist and really enjoy helping couples to uncover each other’s strengths and reinvest in their commitment to one another.
In my free time, I love running, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with my husband and our rescue pup, Evie.
